Really good boudin balls, red beans were great. Fried chicken is amazing. It is a diamond in the rough for sure.
Was able to walk right in at lunch and eat. Plus I took some frozen boudin home to cook later. -

Shrimp Po'Boy was good, simple but good and cheap. We also tried the Spicy Boudin and the Mild Boudin, they were also good but nothing out of the ordinary. They tasted just like other boudin sausage I've had in Texas. The onion rings are homemade but a little thin for my taste.
It was a little far from I-10, we almost gave up, had to look for the restaurant through Maps to find it and get directions. We didn't eat at the restaurant, took it to go, maybe the other food would have been more impressive. -

Food was just ok. The seafood dinner which I always order at the Crowley location was very skimpy here. My fish strips were tiny and my fried okra cooked have been cooked longer and salted. Our major issue however, is that there were five workers standing in the front talking the whole time we were there eating. Every time we looked up, they were looking back at us. There seemed to be only the one girl who took our order doing some work in the front and the guys in the back. I hate to give this low review to a La favorite, but being in the service industry, customer service is everything and the least they could have done was take that to the back away from the customers eyes.

I had two friends visit from Knoxville. I took them to the Boudin King for some fried fish and boudin. Delicious.
A great place to take out of town visitors -

True small town food, let's fry it all! It was ok boudin king eh? if no one else is in the running then yes by default. Boudin was just blandish. Tried spicy and not really. Had gumbo and that was not bad but not good either. Also fried chicken, well it's hard to make that bad anyway. Also had potato salad and it was not bad as well. Just nothing I tried wowed or is done differently. But I did enjoy the ambiance and the workers.
